When you walk in

We will ask what kind of massage you would like and how long. Most first-time guests in Lavon choose a 60 minute Swedish massage to relax, or a deep tissue massage if something specific is tight or sore.

During your massage

You undress to your own comfort level in private and lie on the massage table under a sheet. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. Your massage therapist will check the pressure with you early on.

It is your massage. If you want more pressure, less pressure, more time on your shoulders or no work on your feet, say so. Nobody will mind.

After your massage

Take your time getting up. Drink some water during the rest of the day and move gently. After a deep tissue massage you may feel a little tender for a day, much like after a workout. That is normal and passes quickly.

When to check with your doctor first

Massage is not a substitute for medical care. If you are pregnant, have a recent injury or surgery, take blood thinners, or have a heart, circulation or nerve condition, ask your doctor before your first massage and tell your massage therapist.

First massage questions

Common first-visit questions

Is there a walk-in massage near me in Lavon?

Yes. Tang Massage takes walk-ins every day. If you are short on time, call (469) 967-7507 before you drive over and we will tell you how long the wait is.

Which massage should I choose?

Choose deep tissue massage for tight, sore muscles and Swedish massage to relax. If your feet and legs are worn out, ask for foot massage. Not sure? Tell your massage therapist how you want to feel afterwards.

What should I wear to my massage?

Wear whatever is comfortable. You undress to your own comfort level in private and stay covered with a sheet during the massage.

How do I ask for more or less pressure?

Just say so at any point. Telling your massage therapist where it hurts and what pressure you like before you start is the best way to get the massage you want.

Will I be sore after a massage?

After a relaxation massage, usually not. After deep tissue massage you may feel a little tender for a day, similar to after a workout.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards and debit cards.
